You chance to help in the design of a gi.

Hello all,
We are "starting" a new gi company. How about relaunching a new gi company. Our gi has been in the works for 20 years where it has been redesigned to fit in the most functional of ways. I have worn every gi on the market to death and I can honestly say this is by far the best designed and cut gi on the market.

What I would like to hear from folks that are concerned about their the quality of their training gi is what are the most important features you look for when purchasing a gi? Is it the material, cut and design, price, feel of the material etc.?

Thank you in advance.

I have a Shureido and a KI I have been training for 10+ years. I love the Shureido for the sound it makes when doing a form/ kata. The issue I have is the sizing. I need a mixed matched size. I am 6'4 and have a long torso. It is wonderful when one can get split sizes. I tend to have to roll the pants. I like the traditional drawstring but if I could get the correct length I would love to have a lace up pant. The Ki is also a wonderful choice. I like that it has the different color options. This is because the school were I train has different color options after Black and 2 degree and so on. The Ki is very comfortable for sparring and working out. It's breathability is far superior to my Shureido. (10oz) I have to say that the Shureido being a 14oz just does the job when it comes to performing katas.

Hope this helped.
